Online score entry
The BRS Golf app is a fully integrated app for your phone (Apple and Android) that allows you to make bookings on the timesheet, sign in to competitions and enter your scores after a competition.
After you have downloaded and installed the app, you can then log in to the timesheet section using your Golf Ireland number and the password that you have set for this. If you have not set a password for timesheet bookings, you may ask for a password at the clubhouse and then change it to one of your own choosing. Once you have logged in, you can select 'Tee Sheet' from the bottom menu to see the timesheet for the day and book in by selecting your desired time slot. You can then add members or guests from the drop down list and confirm your booking.
The Master Scoreboard section is accessed by selecting the fourth menu item at the bottom of the screen. This will bring up the login page. Again, this uses your Golf Ireland number and a seperate password which is supplied by the committee. The password supplied must be changed after your first login. You can save these passwords on your phone for ease of use. If you have forgotten your password, the committee will reset it for you on request. Once you are logged in, an easy to follow mnu system is shown. The below screenshots take you from the log in screen through the process of signing in and entering scores.
You must sign in before you can enter a score. The following are the steps to signinig in. The competitions(s) available to sign in for will be displayed once you sign in. By default, your name is entered in the player box and you then select which tees you are playing from. Only those tees eligible for the competition will be displayed (e.g. White or Red).. When your round is completed, you can access the Score Entry section again to enter your score.
Before you start entering your score, you will be asked to select the member who marked your scorecard for you. Entering your score is simply a matter of tapping the number that corresponds to your score on each hole in turn. Once you have finished entering and checking your score, you can then submit it. For a scratched hole, enter 0.
The Master Scoreboard website is accessed here. You use the same log in credentials as you use on the app. All the same menu items are present in the menu bar at the top of the screen. As it is a website, more detail is available to you than on the app. But signing in and entering scores for competitions is exactly the same process. If you want to enter your scores when you get home after a competition, photograph your card before you place it in the box outside the clubhouse.
